Simon Goldberg

Simon is an assistant professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology and core faculty at the Center for Healthy Minds. Simon uses tools drawn from psychotherapy research to better understand the therapeutic processes and outcomes of mindfulness and meditation-based interventions. He has collaborated on numerous randomized trials of contemplative interventions and has conducted systematic reviews and meta-analyses related to meditation. He is currently completing a 5-year NIH-funded K23 award focused on the delivery of meditation training through mobile technology. He is interested in exploring whether digital technology can play a role in addressing the psychological drivers and consequences of climate change. He enjoys bicycle commuting, his very stubborn dog Whisky, and living in Madison with his partner, Shiri.
